Toby Eady, had been my publisher agent since 1997.  Toby visited my home in Chengdu, China, three times and on the second trip, he said to me “ Ping, get your father to write down his life, it will be valuable for westerners to know what happened in china during 1920 to 1940.  “Your father has taught me so much about China,”

In September 2019, my father’s memoir “ To Survive is Victory” was published, but unfortunately Toby had passed away 3 years previously.
